Verification and inspections
Measurement, monitoring, verification and inspections are part of all the management systems.
- Based on ISM code, regular on-board verifications and inspections are required.
- In ISO 14001, the company must have a systematic approach to measure, monitor and evaluate its environmental performance.
- For ISO 50001 compliance, the company should define and regularly review energy measurement needs. An energy measurement plan is required. Measurement equipment must be calibrated with records retained. Standard gives minimum requirements to be considered (MariEMS 2017).
