  General

  • GreenShip course is designed specifically for the shipping industry in order to up-date and improve its energy and emissions management on board ships with the view to save energy, reduce pollution and to improve the overall management of energy and emissions management. The course is composed of six chapters:

    • Climate change, 
    • Fuel management, 
    • Energy efficiency and operational measures, 
    • Efficient operations and maintenance of ships, engines and machinery, 
    • E-navigation and weather routing and, 
    • Port operations, energy and emissions efficiency. 

    Each chapter has a numerical/technical assignment as well as quizzes.

    • Reading and independent learning- 35 hours
    • Examinations:
    • Chapter assessments – 2.5 hours
    • Final assessment – 1 hours
